Giant announced it will launch a major consumer wellness initiative by offering a free prescription program covering 42 generic antibiotics in nine basic categories. The program will run through April 18, 2009 at all Giant and Martin’s pharmacies.
“This is one more way we are demonstrating our commitment to help customers manage the health of their families and the health of their budgets,” said Leigh Shirley, Giant-Carlisle vice president for pharmacy. “Health and wellness is a major focus for our customers, especially during the winter season when colds, coughs and bacteria-borne illnesses are more prevalent, and this program will help ease the costs of staying healthy in the coming year.”
Customers will need a Giant BonusCard in order to participate in this free antibiotic program. It’s free to enroll and can be done at any Giant or Martin’s location. “Customers can shop for their groceries while their prescriptions are being filled, which saves both time and money,” continued Shirley. “Our pharmacists are trusted by customers to offer professional counsel along with the unique blend of convenience and service.”
