On August 19, retail chain Hypernova launched a loyalty program for its customers, aptly titled MoneyMania (Peňazománia). With each purchase, customers receive points, which they can exchange for shopping coupons once they have collected a certain amount. The program will last until September 22.
Diana Chovancová Stanková, the spokesperson for Ahold Retail Slovakia, which operates the Hypernova stores, said customers will receive one point at the counter for each purchase worth 10 EUR. The points will then need to be pasted onto a MoneyMania card. Having collected 10, 25 or 35 points, the customers will be able to exchange them for shopping coupons worth 5, 15 or 25 EUR, respectively. “The MoneyMania cards with the pasted points can be handed in directly in the hypermarket in the Info-corner, where our personnel will exchange them for relevant shopping coupons,” said D. Chovancová Stanková. Points can be exchanged until October 6, i.e. 14 days after the end of the program.
The program is supported by the Nový ÄŒas daily. During its course, a coupon will be included in selected five issues of the daily, which the customers will be able to cut out and exchange in the Hypernova’s Info-corner for one point. D. Chovancová Stanková also explained the loyalty program covers all goods purchased in Hypernova stores, with the exception of fuels and cigarettes. “We will not give points for these products, or if customers pay for the goods with the shopping coupons,” emphasised D. Chovancová Stanková.
