Preliminary figures put September 2009 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 7,030 million, excluding VAT, up SEK 326 million or 4.9 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 4.0 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, sales excluding VAT have risen by 5.3 percent to
SEK 67,294 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 4.6 percent.
Breakdown of September sales for ICA stores in Sweden:
Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 9.8 percent to SEK
1,921million. The increase for comparable units was 6.6 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 10.8 percent to SEK 18,260 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 7.6 percent.
ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 2.3 percent to SEK 1,669 million. The increase for comparable units was 2.1 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.5 percent to SEK 16,203 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.4 percent.
ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 3.8 percent to SEK 2,333 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.9 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.6 percent to SEK 22,166 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.8 percent.
ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 2.8 percent to SEK 1,107 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.2 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 2.8 percent to SEK 10,664 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.4 percent.
