Stores slash prices on thousands of products

Richmond, VA – As MARTIN’S begins to open its doors in the Greater Richmond and Williamsburg communities, customers will find a new level of savings both inside the stores and at the gas pumps. MARTIN’S today announced that it will lower prices across the store by offering deep savings on thousands of everyday items as the stores reopen as MARTIN’S. The new prices will take effect as the former Ukrop’s stores are remodeled and re-opened under the MARTIN’S name beginning April 12.
“MARTIN’S has a tradition of being a low price leader and offering the most competitive prices to our customers for the highest quality products,” said Jim Scanlon, regional vice president. “This is not a gimmick and it is not temporary; it is the new price reality at MARTIN’S.” Shoppers will be alerted to the lower prices in the weekly circular and will find in-store signage highlighting the new low prices. Red shelf signs highlight the old price, new price and savings. Customers will find significant savings on thousands of items across multiple categories of the store, including the family of MARTIN’S brands. “We know family budgets are strained so our objective is to offer as much value as possible to our customers,” continued Scanlon. “One of the best ways for our Greater Richmond and Williamsburg customers to start saving when they shop at MARTIN’S is to register for a BONUSCARD.”
