Gilbertsville, PA. April 20, 2010 – GIANT Food Stores today announced that the doors of its new Gilbertsville, PA store, located at 173 Holly Road, will open on Wednesday, April 28 at 8:00 a.m. Dan Colantuono has been appointed store manager of the new 69,200 square foot GIANT, which will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“While the GIANT name is well-known throughout Montgomery County, we are excited to open our first store in the Gilbertsville community,” said Colantuono. “Customers will find the very best combination of quality, selection and savings both inside the store and at our convenient, on-site gas station.”
Dan is a 12-year veteran with GIANT Food Stores, having most recently served as store manager of the Emmaus Ave, Allentown GIANT. Dan lives with his family in Oley. GIANT operates 13 grocery stores and employs 2,500 full and part-time associates in Montgomery County. The Gilbertsville store, Montgomery County’s 14th GIANT will add approximately 200 full and part-time associates.
