April 14, 2010, - Quincy, MA – Stop & Shop announced plans to open the five stores acquired from Shaw’s in Connecticut on Friday, April 16, 2010. Earlier this month the stores were closed for minor renovations and product replacement. The stores are located in Darien, East Hampton, New Fairfield, Newington and Vernon, CT.
According to Division Presidents Mark McGowan and Ron Onorato, the stores will offer customers the shopping experience they’ve come to know and expect from Stop & Shop in Connecticut with products and layouts similar to other Stop & Shop stores in the State.
