April 27, 2010 - Gilbertsville, PA – GIANT Food Stores will open the doors of its new Gilbertsville, PA location tomorrow Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. The new 69,200 square foot store is located at 173 Holly Road.
“Customers will find plenty of exciting features in our newest GIANT geared toward providing a convenient, consumer-friendly shopping experience, along with the same quality, selection and savings they expect from GIANT,” said Dan Colantuono, store manager. “From an on-site fuel station where customers can save on gas to our emphasis on health and wellness, we provide affordable solutions for our customers’ everyday shopping needs.”
Key Departments
Key departments such as bakery, deli, meat and seafood are set off with their own look and feel, giving unique identities to the various sections of the store. These include:
- Corner Bakery Shoppe – featuring GIANT’s award-winning cakes and desserts, Old World artisan breads, and donuts still made fresh in-store every day.
- Butcher Shoppe and Seafood Market – featuring Certified Angus Beef, 100% U.S.D.A. Choice Grade Beef, All-Natural Hatfield Pork, and Grade-A Chicken – all with no water or salt added and offering a vast selection of steaks, filets and shellfish, including an on-site lobster tank with free steaming while you wait.
- Market Fresh Produce – in addition to a bountiful assortment of fresh and locally-grown fruits and vegetables, this department includes an expanded organic section with more than 80 varieties of fresh organic produce items, along with a delectable salad bar featuring more than 50 of your flavorful favorites.
- The Florist – the full-service floral department features a full variety of roses including Certified Fair Trade Roses and EPA award-winning floral bouquets.
