Based on our observation of social trends, we have organized Corporate Responsibility activities around four main key themes:

Corporate Responsibility Pillars

 
Ahold has developed specific policies for each pillar. These policies apply to Ahold as a group, as well as to all of the operating companies. However our companies operate in different countries, which sometimes have differences in legislation. Therefore some operating company policies may be different than what is specified in our group policies,  in order to ensure full compliance with specific country legislation.

A fresh approach

Based on our observation of social trends, we have established four pillars for our Corporate Responsibility activities, which include: healthy living; sustainable trade; climate action; and community engagement. 

We have always viewed product safety as part of being a good corporate citizen; so we have also integrated it formally within CR.
