What is Ahold's policy on plastic bags?

We aim to continue developing incentives and providing information to encourage consumers to use reusable bags. We also provide attractive and affordable alternatives to traditional non-reusable shopping bags. All of our supermarket companies offer reusable shopping bags and opportunities to recycle plastic bags. In many of our operations, we charge consumers a small sum for plastic bags to discourage their use.
