Wherever we operate we are focusing on improving energy efficiency and reducing our carbon footprint by adapting our operations to limit their negative impact on the climate and the environment. Ahold has calculated the total CO2 emissions of 2008 and has set a target to reduce our carbon emissions by 20% per square meter by 2015.
