Ahold Institutional Food Supply, a wholly-owned Netherlands subsidiary of Ahold, has announced a NLG 0.5 billion supply agreement for three years with Van Hecke Catering, the largest catering company in the Netherlands. The agreement provides for the supply of food and non-food items by AIFS to all 1,300 Van Hecke locations as well as support in important areas such as logistic, e-commerce and other services.

Ahold Institutional Food Supply supplies food and non-food items to institutional customers throughout the Netherlands, with annualized sales of approximately NLG 1.6 billion. Customers of AIFS include institutions within the health care sector (i.e. hospitals, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers), company restaurants, hotels, catering companies and schools. Worldwide, Van Hecke is the largest single customer of Ahold.
