Ahold, the international food provider, today announced it has signed a letter of intent to divest Jamin, its chain of confectionery stores in The Netherlands. The scale of the operation no longer blends with Aholds core activities.
Ahold intends to sell Jamin to EuroDelight, a newly established international group developing confectionery activities in various European countries. Jamin operates 140 small stores in The Netherlands with sales of approximately Euro 41 million.
