Ahold, the food retail and foodservice company, has signed letters of intent to divest assets of its Dutch production company, Marvelo.
Ahold, the food retail and foodservice company, has signed letters of intent to divest assets of its Dutch production company,Marvelo. The company manufactures private label products for Ahold's Dutch upermarket company Albert Heijn,
the leading food retail operator in The Netherlands. The assets, wine-bottling and tea manufacturing, are no longer considered contributors to Ahold's core business.
The wine-bottling of Marvelo will be sold to Baarsma Holding BV in The Netherlands. Tea manufacturing goes to the German company, Laurens Spethman Holding.
