Zaandam, The Netherlands, January 10, 2002 - Ahold announces the appointment of Harrie Frijters to the position of Chief Financial Officer, CFO, at Ahold's joint venture partner La Fragua in Guatemala, effective January 2, 2002. For the past three years, Frijters has been working as CFO at Ahold Spain. La Fragua is with 131 stores in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras a substantial player in the Central American market.
