Albert, the largest shopping delivery service in the Netherlands, is extending its services to the municipality of Hoorn. As of Monday March 6, inhabitants of this municipality can place their orders for goods from Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall & Gall via www.albert.nl, and can have their shopping delivered to their own kitchens.
As a special opening offer, these customers will each receive a 10 euro discount on their first order. Albert currently serves around half of the Dutch households. Customers can choose from 10,000 products from the Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall & Gall ranges, including fresh foods, chilled and frozen products, and can also enjoy the benefits of bulk buying.
Since the introduction of Albert in 2001, the delivery service has grown enormously. The service now serves almost 4 million households. In the previous year, the turnover grew by some 30 per cent.
