Ahold and the Shareholder's Communication Channel work together to enable and simplify communication between Ahold and our shareholders, and between shareholders themselves. Shareholders that are holders of a securities account with a participating Dutch bank are eligible to receive such information through the Shareholder's Communication Channel at no costs.

Voting
Voting instruction form
All shareholders that are registered with the Communication Channel will receive a proxy voting form prior to the annual general meeting to be held on April 23, 2008. The Annual Report 2007, the Jaaroverzicht (Dutch language), the Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2007, and the other documents related to the General Meeting of Shareholders are available on our website www.ahold.com.
If you wish to provide you voting instruction by using the voting instruction forms in your information package, please mark your instruction for each proposal, sign both forms and return them in the enclosed return-envelope. The forms must be received on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 6.00 PM CET at the latest.
The person mentioned on the proxy voting form as proxy-holder will ensure that the votes are cast at the shareholders meeting in accordance with the instructions. Registration is not necessary, and neither is blocking your shares – all you need to do is be a shareholder at the registration date, Tuesday, March 25, 2008.
Internet
Votes can also be cast electronically by shareholders that are registered with the Communication Channel and receive the materials mentioned above. The Shareholder's Communication Channel makes this possible through www.proxyvote.nl, the secure voting site of the Shareholder's Communication Channel. On your voting instruction form you will find a 12 or 14-digit code. By using this code you can log-in to the website, where you can cast your vote electronically. Should you later wish to alter your vote, you may do so by logging-in again and re-casting your vote. Voting through this method is possible until Friday, April 18, 2008 at 6.00 PM CET.
If you have registered for electronic information earlier, you will receive an e-mail with the relevant information to cast your vote.
