Amsterdam, the Netherlands, May 24, 2006 – Ahold today announced consolidated net sales of €14.1 billion for the first quarter of 2006. Compared to the first quarter of 2005, net sales increased by 8.6%. Excluding the impact of currency, net sales increased by 2.1%.
