Stop & Shop is headquartered in Quincy, Massachusetts, was established in 1914 and pioneered the superstore concept in New England in 1982. The company operates superstores and conventional supermarkets in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey and New York. Stop & Shop operates conventional supermarkets and 55,000-75,000 sq. ft. superstores, some of which include gas stations, full-service pharmacies and one-hour photo developing.
