Giant-Carlisle employees have raised a total of $927,525 in the companies' 2007 United Way campaign, the largest donation raised by the company to date.
In addition, throughout 2007, employees at both the store and the corporate level volunteered their time with approximately 40 United Way agencies across the stores' operating areas.
"This overwhelming show of support and donations will help local United Way agencies in our communities provide services to those neighbors who need it the most," said Carl Schlicker, chief executive officer, Giant Food Stores.
