Amsterdam, the Netherlands - Ahold today announced consolidated net sales of € 6.8 billion for the fourth quarter ending January 3, 2010. Net sales increased by 3.4% and increased by 11.0% at constant exchange rates compared to the fourth quarter of 2008. For the full year, net sales were € 27.9 billion, 8.9% higher compared to 2008. At constant exchange rates, net sales for the full year were up 6.0%.

Amsterdam, the Netherlands – Ahold today announced consolidated net sales of € 6.0 billion for the third quarter ending October 4, 2009. Compared to the third quarter of 2008, net sales increased by 4.3% and increased by 2.6% at constant exchange rates. In the third quarter, Ahold delivered volume growth in all markets. Sales were impacted by deflation and trading down by customers while increased promotional activity continued, especially in the United States.
